Tomorrow

Wednesday. The last blood pressure reading - 129/73 - was at eight-twenty last night, not good, not terrible, with lights out after nine to awaken at five-thirty. Still, slept pretty much straight through and so buzzed along until six-twenty while listening to Democracy Now! (Trump and his indicted associates) before getting up and taking another reading - 110/74 - before heading out the door on another overcast and cool, but not particularly cold, morning.

The restaurant was open when I arrived just before seven and so sat down with the papers and then ordered the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast when the kitchen opened at seven-thirty. Briefly checked the Manafort and Cohen stories for pieces I may have missed yesterday or on the radio this morning, finishing up around eight-thirty before setting out for home.

The usual pictures of Lime and Bird scooters that had been set out on the sidewalks, an out of focus young woman activating the last Lime scooter set out by the lake, some Bird scooters farther along on my side of the street and the now finished sidewalk repair (with graffiti added) at the base of my street.

Arriving home at eight forty-five to take the blood pressure - 99/76 - and wonder if the reading was correct (the pressure drops after a walk?) and settle in here. Still as overcast as it was yesterday with nothing on the schedule, nothing pressing for the day ahead. Could go by an ATM a day early as an excuse to get outside again, but I'm not betting on it.

Later. A bus to the Broadway ATM, thinking I was feeling clear headed enough to go by the construction site and take pictures, as the bus was running late and the scheduled return bus wouldn't arrive for twenty minutes after I'd arrived, more than enough time to shoot. Hit the ATM and it turned out I still had five minutes before the bus was due and so bailed on the pictures. So much for clear headedness pumping up any ambition to shoot pictures.

Straight home to take a bath and then spend the rest of the afternoon with the usual television and tablet with one exception: I framed a print and used it to replace a framed print I've had on the wall in the bedroom. How long have I been putting this off? A bit complicated to accomplish, due to its location, but a step to the good.

Evening. Took the blood pressure at five-thirty - 120/69 - then again at eight-thirty: 139/87, this having been lying on the bed for the last hour. Not good and so took the blood pressure med for the first time since last Saturday morning. Will call the doctor's office and see how we handle this tomorrow.
