Thursday. A decent night's rest to awaken then at six to get up and (what else?) take the blood pressure: 104/81. Much better than last night's 139/87. OK. Up and off to breakfast on another overcast, but not at all cold morning (the eyes and nose behaved quite nicely), arriving just before seven to find the restaurant open.
Noticed that Bird had changed the base color of some of their scooters to white, at least if they haven't, this is the first time I've seen one. I've often thought the Lime scooters, with their white and green paint schemes, were more attractive than the all black Birds and maybe they've made a change for that reason. So a couple of pictures of them while walking to breakfast.
Ordered the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast when the kitchen started serving and went through the papers with some interest. Maybe for the best that my ability to concentrate seems to be slipping, as so much of the news is now so depressing. Better to ride the slide out of this world in a good humor rather than the many alternatives.
Or something similarly silly.
Finished breakfast at a quarter to nine and so took a picture or two of the scooters I'd photographed earlier, noting that the white painted ones had in both cases been chosen first. Maybe others think about colors too. A picture of the last two remaining Lime scooters by the lake and another picture of the workers finishing up the sidewalk corners at the bottom of my hill. Silly, I know, but it keeps me amused.
The blood pressure was 112/76, taking it immediately after I arrived home, which is good for the number, although I'm not sure with it coming in all over the place, quite how to proceed from here. Hard to say what's happening.
Later. Lightroom updated to a later version yesterday, although I didn't use it until this morning when it froze up attempting to import new images. Uninstalled the new version and then went through a new installation, but to no avail. No Lightroom. Made do with Photoshop, but I'm to the point I need to call their tech support.
Ah, we learn that contacting Adobe tech support is pretty much impossible and so installed the earlier version of Lightroom and that fixed the problem. Be curious to see if others have had the same issue.
Took the blood pressure again at four-forty and it came in at 129/79, somewhat higher than I'd have liked and very similar to the reading I'd gotten yesterday at about this same time. We'll see if it does yesterday's trick and gets farther up the ladder when I take a reading later at eight.
Evening. Watched the tail end of a thing I'd started on the tablet yesterday, checked the local air pollution app on the tablet to see the particulate count come in for the first time in the red danger area at 159. I've never seen it run over a hundred in all the time I've been checking and so there must be more than a bit of smoke in the air that's coming off the ocean, maybe best we didn't go out other than to take another picture at the construction site just up my street.
