Afraid

Saturday. OK, lights out by nine-thirty, but awakening at five and not really able to blink and get back to sleep again. Gave up and listened to the news on the radio as I got up with the sinus-upper palate aching badly and so took the morning meds that include the Tramadol pain medication. Takes about an hour to kick in.

Thought about driving, but ended up walking to breakfast on another overcast, but not particularly cold or cool morning, the eyes and nose not acting up. Much. Arrived to find the restaurant dark, but the dining area door open and so entered and turned on the lights to then settle in with the papers. Not much in the news I haven't read before.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by eight-thirty again to walk back home, feeling better. More clear headed. At least I told myself that was the case, the day starting well better.

The usual flower photograph, the scooters lined up by the lake and a selfie in the apartment house lobby mirror before heading upstairs to finish yesterday's entry and post, thinking what have I been putting off doing this last week that I can continue to put off doing this weekend? We try to keep track.

Later. Watched the Women's British Open on television, the tiredness not developing for a change, went out to get a picture of the construction down at the bottom of my hill just up off the sidewalk. Still not quite sure what that's about.

Walked up my street to see if there'd been any visible construction progress or change in the building that fronts on Grand to find, yes, they seem to have torn out a significant section of the back wall, but since the gate I need to enter to get a picture was closed and locked, we'll have to wait on an image until Monday.

A walk over to the white column pergola by the lake at one to see what Groovin' In The Park was about to find a number of people in the surrounding spread out on blankets, but none but one dancing to the music yet and so took but two or three less than technically proficient pictures.

Evening. Didn't go back over to the lake to see what the crowd looked like later in the afternoon or early evening, even though you could hear the music and a noisy crowd in the distance when you opened the balcony door. Lots of people from the sound. Still, stayed inside and eventually crashed on the bed to watch a couple of episodes of a Korean series on the tablet before turning the lights out after nine. Nothing on the radio I want to listen to on a Saturday night, I'm afraid.

The photo up top was taken while walking home from breakfast this morning with a Nikon 1 V3 mounted with a 30-110mm f 3.8-5.6 Nikon 1 Nikkor lens.
