Win It
Saturday. Awoke at five-thirty to dawdle along until six when I got up and prepared to walk to breakfast on an overcast, but not overly cool, morning. A decent walk to breakfast, in other words, arriving well before the first waitresses arrived and so through the dining area door to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up at close to nine this time and set out for home to take the usual set of pictures. I'd passed by a van setting up a line of Lime scooters by the lake while walking in to find that all but one were gone when I returned, so people do use them early on Saturdays. One this Saturday.
They'd evidently not shown up to work on the pipes they'd put in at the construction site above the sidewalk near the bottom of my hill and so a picture. On to the apartment lobby for another selfie and ten to the computer to start the process here.
The Oakland Chinatown StreetFest later today and tomorrow. Will I photograph it? Feel reasonably whole, may well go. At least the camera battery is charging at the moment to be ready when it's time to leave.
Later. Packed a camera and caught a bus to, well, the Broadway ATM, obviously deciding to bail on photographing the StreetFest today as I got on a return bus across the street five minutes later and went straight home. We'll see about tomorrow, tomorrow.
Turned on the FedEx tournament when I got back to discover Tiger Woods was leading. Which was strange as he didn't make the cut this year. Ah. OK, today's tournament has been delayed for weather and so they're filling in with the 2018 final round when Tiger blew everyone's mind by winning.
Evening. To bed early. Again. Enough tablet earlier to be burned out for the day and so lights out by nine, nothing available on the radio Saturday nights worth listening to, although I did dial into the Giants-A's game in the eighth inning to listen to the Giants score eight runs and pull way ahead to win it.
