Eleven
Wednesday Awoke finally at six-thirty again to get up at the usual time and drive to the Lakeshore ATM before driving back over the hill on Mandana to the restaurant, arriving at the usual time to feed the meter and settle in at my table to start on the papers. A little cool outside, but I'd worn a long sleeved shirt along with the t-shirt and light jacket figuring I'd be driving and not walking if the sun came out later and so dressed to sit in the cold rather than walking under the sun.
The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee because that's what came out of my mouth when asked, I'd been thinking earlier of the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, but what the hell, what does it matter? Finished up at ten minutes after nine with five minutes to go on the parking meter, walked to the car taking the usual picture on the way and drove straight home to take the selfie in the lobby and rush at the very last minute to make it to the bathroom in time to avoid disaster. Ah, well.
Overcast and I assume the to be avoided smoke is in the air. Checked the baseball score last night, seems the game had gone on tied for two more innings before a two run homer in the eleventh had won the game for the Giants, not that life would have ended had it gone the other way.
Later. Called the blood thinner testing service and they put me in contact with one of their people in my area. I called him and he came by in less than ten minutes, the results of the test well within the required range. So good. Evidently we'll live.
The air quality in Oakland is reported as Good for the first time in a while when I checked at two-thirty, maybe time to at least go up the way to take a picture of the nearby construction site. I won't, but I've at least had the thought. Opened the bedroom windows and balcony door to cool down the apartment, though. Nice to be able to do that.
Evening. Stayed up long enough to check out Midsomer Murders at eight. I'd seen it before, didn't like it when I saw it back when. To bed to listen to the radio until well after ten, didn't really get to sleep until close to eleven.
