Morning
Thursday I'm not really sure when I got to sleep last night, but it seems to have gone reasonably well. Awakened at five-thirty, turned on the radio and half listened to Rising Up With Sonali on KPFA until Democracy Now! came on at six, the head now halfway clear.
Always a little slow before setting out to walk to breakfast on a cool, almost too cool in t-shirt, long sleeved shirt and light jacket morning, arriving under cloud covered skies (no smoke this morning!) to settle in at my patio table and start on the papers. Again cool enough sitting outside to be thinking one degree colder and we'd have to do jumping jacks or something similar to get warm enough to read without shivering.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the weight behaving, but still running a couple of pounds too high, finishing up fifteen minutes after nine to set out walking, the head clear and energy good, much better than when I'd been walking in.
This lasted all the way home, stepping up my hill to enter the lobby, take the selfie and settle in at the computer thinking where did all this energy come from? Because it was bracingly cool this morning? Is this energy going to last?
You do go on.
Getting all wired together this way puts these last several days/weeks/months in contrast. Makes you wonder if a foggy head is necessarily a given at my age.
Later. The sun arrived early this afternoon, although it didn't get up any higher than the upper-sixties. Stayed inside, not tired, charged the camera batteries and listened to the news. How's that for a successful afternoon?
Are we going a little nuts here?
Just babbling. The afternoon has gone well, just can't remember what, if anything, I really accomplished other than checking out one or two new things that managed to gain my interest on the tablet. It all blends together anymore.
Evening. Avoided the Republican convention. I'd turned the PBS News Hour off earlier when they started interviewing Republicans in preparation for the convention. I suspect I'm not alone in doing this. Ultimately lights out after ten, to sleep somewhere around eleven. Not a bad day, we'll listen to the various news recaps of the Republican convention in the morning.
