Hoping

Sunday. To sleep after ten, but before eleven (one hopes much before) to awaken finally at six-thirty and so maybe a good night's rest? Up to drive to breakfast, park just down in front of the restaurant, enter the indoor dining area and settle in with the Sunday papers.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, more because I haven't had it in a while, to finish up somewhat after nine to walk to the car, snap some extra pictures and drive straight home to take the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer to finish yesterday's empty entry, post, process the morning pictures and start here. No signs of tiredness, no freaking out over COVID this or that, the sun is now out and it looks like a decent day ahead.

Later. Listened to the Met broadcast of Girl of the Golden West. There was a time, particularly when I was in college, that I listened to opera pretty much to the exclusion of everything else and still have some forty complete opera recordings on l.p.'s. Another life, another time. Now, at least, I've started listening again to individual arias with the advent of YouTube. I haven't played any of the many recordings I still have in my record collection, most of which is rock and roll from the later sixties and early seventies. I play rock on YouTube too. Ah, well.

Evening. To bed just after eight, lights out just after nine, my lights out sooner than later, I'm hoping.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
