December 2, 2019

Schedule

Monday. Awoke for good at ten minutes after six after what I'm guessing was a pretty good night's sleep to get up and get ready to drive to breakfast. Not raining from the looks of it outside the bedroom windows, but decided to drive and not take a chance. (And OK, not wanting to walk was a factor.) Arrived at the restaurant at five minutes before seven to find it open and so settled in with the papers. Some mist on the car front windows while driving, but no real rain.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up around twenty minutes to nine and heading out to the car. No rain and so I could have walked, but such is life. Arrived home to take a selfie and settle in with yesterday's entry, posting it, writing this and deciding the vision was a bit off (an ocular migraine symptom?) and so lie down for a while, see how it plays out.

Later. Lied down for maybe an hour and whatever it was went away and so watched episodes from two different Netflix series on the tablet. Not sure that's altogether good for the eyes as it takes a while for them to adjust properly after you stop. Anyway, still dark and overcast, although it hasn't been raining (much, the sidewalks are wet) and so listened to the usual news programs starting at two and cleaned up some issues with the dental insurance. My dentist, it turns out, isn't a member of my group.

Evening. Stayed up long enough to watch the beginning of Frankie Drake Mysteries at eight on PBS, not remembering whether or not I'd ever seen it before. Seems I may have and I'd bailed before it made much of an impression back when, bailed this evening after maybe five minutes thinking who wrote this damned thing? The now more usual than not cranky old coots reaction in other words. To bed, with lights out and radio off by nine-thirty, keeping to the schedule.

The photo up top was taken at the Oakland City Hall on December 6, 2017 with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
