While

Saturday. Lights out again at nine-thirty to awaken twice during the night, but then right back to sleep to awaken for good at ten minutes to six, right on target. Up to take the blood pressure: 116/65. OK, we'll see how that goes, taking the blood pressure med again with the rest of the meds before heading out to breakfast under dark, but clear skies, the fence by the construction going on near Euclid found lying on the sidewalk. OK, worth a picture. Arrived to find the restaurant dark, but for a light back in the kitchen and so, the dining area door open and so inside to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast because I could think of anything else. No complaints, just repetitive. I'd brought the little V3 camera with a longer telephoto lens, one I haven't used now in months and months, and so the finishing up snapshot was a little bizarre. Better bizarre, I guess, than blank. (Or something like that.)

The sun out walking home, a picture of the still wet flower below the school, two pictures of the scooters set out near the lake and another of the fence flat down on the sidewalk. Wonder how long it will be before they take care of that. A shot of the house roof not yet completed below my apartment and the selfie in the lobby, a little clearer (they're all a little clearer except for the finishing up photograph) with the longer lens.

Nice day out there, maybe pick up next year's calendar at the book shop later, get outside for a change. Read a piece in the Times this morning on an interview with Elizabeth Warren where she said she gets in (tries to get in?) six miles of walking every day. Six miles? Six miles? I'm lucky to get in one.

Could she be exaggerating?

Probably. Still, thinking about my “just one”.

Later. A walk to the book store and back. They didn't have the selection they've had in the past, probably because I've taken so long to buy a calendar and most of the calenders I've bought in the past are long gone, bought by more sensible buyers than I. OK, a Beatles calendar, we can survive. Maybe a three-quarters of a mile walk, a bit tired when I finished getting up my hill, so a walk of six miles would be a tussle. Not that I'm going to find out.

It's just three miles around the lake.

Haven't done that in a while.

The photo up top was taken while walking along the lake shore in December 2016 with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 135mm f 2.0 DC Nikkor lens.
