December 7, 2020

By Ten

Monday To sleep finally at close to eleven to then awaken at six-fifteen to get up and set out walking to breakfast under clear skies and somewhat gusty winds, remembering they'd announced a high wind warning against fires yesterday. Not too gusty and so a nice walk to arrive around the usual time to settle in at a back table alone in the dining room as I'd done when the coronavirus pandemic had first started.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up without a picture at the table and setting out to walk home, still some gusts of wind, my thought being why did they seem to come just as I was taking a picture, blowing the flower out of the frame?

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle in at the computer. The day and the walk home was much warmer than it's been these last many weeks and so no need to turn on the heat, but actually took the goose down jacket and sweater off to cool down. Nice way to start a day, be nice to think it would last through the week.

Dream on.

Later. A high of seventy-three degrees today, they're saying a high of sixty-eight tomorrow and then back down into the low sixties for the rest of the week. Get it when you can.

Evening. December 7th, the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. I half listened to the Sunday morning TUC Radio broadcast on the political world's situation during this period leading up to the bomb and it gave some context I hadn't heard before. I've been threatening to listen to it again on the web, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Busy, you understand.

Another day where I've gotten nothing whatsoever done except to get to bed early just after eight and turn the lights out by ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
