Often

Friday. To sleep sometime after ten to awaken at six-fifteen, take the blood pressure to find it behaving and then listening to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up and walking to breakfast under overcast skies, the air index in the Unhealthy For Some category as it had been yesterday. Arrived at the usual time to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, right on target on the scale this morning, finishing up just after nine to visit their bathroom (best to have done that) before setting out with good energy for home under still overcast high fog clouded skies to take the usual series of pictures.

Took the selfie in the lobby, took the blood pressure again (no real change) and settled in at the computer to check the web to see if the UPS package had arrived yesterday. It had. It was left at the front door at four-sixteen in the afternoon. Wasn't there, wasn't in the lobby. So much for not having had a package stolen. Fifty dollars down the drain.

Did the usual scrabbling together of yesterday's entry, posted it, processed the morning's pictures and then went down to the garage to check if the car battery had finished charging. I'd started it yesterday at noon (forgot to mention that in yesterday's entry when I finished it this morning) to find it was done and so back to the apartment to start my blathering here.

Later. A message from a friend giving me a head's up that a poster he'd sent me was due to delivery today. Oh. Not by UPS I hope. We'll keep watch. Which we did. Didn't come. I hope because they'll be bringing it tomorrow and not that it evaporated the way yesterday's delivery did.

Otherwise another afternoon of blood pressure meds, a total of four doses again that started at noon, the pressure too high. Consistency isn't what we're looking for here. Please.

Evening. Nothing I wanted to watch on television, the public stations seem to be still in the middle of their fund raising, putting up specials that aren't so special in my particular set of interests and so in bed by eight to try to find something I wanted to watch on the tablet without luck, lights out after nine not finding anything of interest on the radio. These things happen more and more often.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
