December 4, 2021

Later

Saturday. To sleep after ten to awaken at five, get back to sleep by five-thirty and awaken for good at six twenty-five to get up to take the blood pressure to find it looking good after yesterday's high flying. Out the door to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then park by the 7-11 store, entering the restaurant indoor dining area, turning on the lights and settling in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up just before nine to walk back to the car and drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure (still looking good) and settle down at the computer to finish yesterday's entry before posting.

A brief ocular migraine-like episode after downloading the morning's few pictures and so to bed at ten to lie down for thirty minutes. I haven't been taking the anti-ocular migraine med now in some time and perhaps the cured bacon kicked off the minor resurgence. This happens now and then, but hopefully not more often.

Took the blood pressure med at ten thinking to put it in place for when the pressure starts building around noon, but found it too high when I took the pressure again just before noon and so too an additional double dose for a total of three so far.

Later. An email from the apartment house owner saying, when the construction starts to repair the balconies, it will take six months to complete and it will involve getting well into the living room. Which means I'll have to move out. The law says he'll have to come up with moving expenses and I could, if I was able, move back at the same rent in six months when they were finished, but there's nowhere for me to move except to my sister's just south of Portland. So we'll stew on this for a while, but I will now have to get off my ass and do something to prepare for this.

Checked the blood pressure at one-thirty. Too high. Too high to the point I almost wish I hadn't checked and so, of course, took another med for a total of four, four times what for years was the daily dose.

Evening. The blood pressure still running higher than I'd like at nine when I took the pressure, turned the lights out, listened to the radio as it approached ten, my own lights somewhat later.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
