Morning

Wednesday. To sleep not long after ten to awaken then at six-twenty after a good night's sleep. Always happy to see that. Up to take the blood pressure: 111/66, 125/71, 119/63. Very good and so out the door to walk to breakfast after listening to the rest of Democracy Now! on the radio. The sky overcast, but feeling reasonably good, arriving a few minutes later than usual to enter the indoor dining area and settling down at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight holding just fine on the scale this morning, finishing up after nine to set out for home, the day still overcast and dark, taking the usual series of pictures along the way to include the selfie in the lobby once I'd arrived. Took the blood pressure again (122/69, 93/69, 110/69) and took a dose of the blood pressure medicine before settling in at the computer to start on the morning routine.

Later. Spent most of the afternoon watching Shetland, a Britbox series I've watched earlier seasons of in the past, all the while thinking I'd seen this particular season before. Watched it through episode five when I realized they're releasing new episodes weekly and there were more to come in the future and I couldn't have watched it before. What does that say about the memory? There's been one or two other series I've started and soon realized I'd seen before, not remembering the outcomes or most of the scenes to follow. Memory check number whatever, it gets fuzzier and less acute as the years stumble along.

Evening. To bed just before eight, nothing I wanted to watch on television, with lights out early just before nine. They say get to sleep between ten and eleven in the evenings for maximum health. Still, I do feel tired, I think sleep will come soon enough and we'll see if we'll awaken too early soon enough tomorrow morning.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
