Tonight

Thursday. To sleep not long after ten to awaken then at five-thirty, blinking and awakening again for good just before six to take the blood pressure, find it behaving nicely and so get up after listening to Democracy Now! before setting out for breakfast dressed for the cold wearing a heavy sweater and jacket. Best I had because it was cold. Arriving to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up after nine to set out for home under a bright sun. No more dark muddy looking pictures similar to yesterday's. Overexposed and underexposed, yes, but lighter and more forgiving. Home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure again to find it holding, taking a blood pressure med and then sit down at the computer to pretend to finish yesterday's entry, post, process the morning pictures and start here. Another day ahead when we don't get anything done in preparation for having to move early next year?

Later. Sent the last three days of readings to the cardiologist for comment. Should have done it long ago, although it seems to have settled in within reason after ending up having to take four times the usual daily dose.

Watched more of the first season of Without Motive, a Britbox series that seems to have hooked my attention for some reason, “for some reason” being none of the characters have captured my sympathy.

Evening. Finished the Without Motive first season and started the initial episode of the second before turning off the tablet and looking at the clock to find it was close to ten. Not good for getting to sleep, watching the blue screen of a tablet so late in the evening, we'll see if we end up paying the usual price in not getting to sleep until much later than we'd like tonight.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
