December 10, 2021

Thereafter

Friday. It did take an hour or so longer to get to sleep last night, but awoke then just before six feeling rested. Up to take the blood pressure to find it good. I'd delayed taking a blood pressure med yesterday at four until around seven (wrapped up in that Britbox series on the tablet) to find it much too high when I measured it, so good to see it behaving. Listened to Democracy Now! as always before driving to breakfast, entering the restaurant's indoor dining area, turning on the lights and settling in with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up to find I'd started charging the camera battery yesterday morning and had forgotten all about it so the camera didn't have its battery and couldn't take pictures. I've done this before. Memory again rears its empty head.

No big deal, walked to the car and drove home, taking the blood pressure again to find it holding up well and then starting the laundry. I've been avoiding doing it now for a week, but I was running out of clean t-shirts. One does not want to run out of clean t-shirts.

Later. The laundry done, folded and hung. Not bad. It usually takes the rest of the day and sometimes the socks don't get folded until the next morning, but today I was finished by noon.

Spent the rest of the afternoon watching things on the tablet. Nothing I'd recommend, but they seemed to keep my attention.

Evening. Watched another Britbox episode of Without Motive, figured that was enough for this evening and so lights out after nine, to sleep within a reasonable time thereafter.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
