After

Thursday. To sleep at a reasonable time to awaken just before the alarm at six-twenty. A decent night's sleep. Up to take the blood pressure to find it low enough to skip taking the blood pressure med until I got home. Back in bed to listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up and driving to breakfast under relatively clear skies, enter the restaurant's indoor dining area to turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers. All of two other diners arriving to have breakfast during the time I was there.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to head back to the car and drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby and suddenly realize I needed to get to the bathroom right away as I entered the apartment. Hmm. Took the blood pressure again to find it low enough to put off taking the med again before settling down at the computer, finish yesterday's entry, post, process the morning pictures and decide to set out for the lab to get the blood drawn and back before noon.

Drove to the lab, found a parking space, got the blood drawn after waiting thirty minutes to take my turn and set out for home deciding on the way to travel on to the bank on Lakeshore to deposit the stimulus check I'd received yesterday (much to my surprise) and pick up a Christmas card to send to my nephew. Deposited the check, picked up some cash to include with the card and looked for the card shop to find it gone. Out of business. Bummer. Been shopping for cards there forever.

Arrived home before noon to start on this. All my hand wringing over going to the lab and going to the bank was all for naught. Once I'm out the door it's a breeze, no problem whatsoever given all the hesitancy that preceded it. A product of all this isolation due to the virus? I suspect age and having the cameras stolen on the street some years ago has had their part.

Took the blood pressure when I got back. Not bad, but this time took the med, first of the day.

Later. Took the blood pressure at three to find it pushing high and so a second dose of the med. Should have measured it by two and caught it sooner.

Another afternoon with the tablet finishing Crime, a Britbox series that was more than a little grinding, no desire to watch a second season if one's coming, checked the various news programs without watching/listening to them all the way through and that was about it for the afternoon. The inside temperature seemed warmer somehow, even if it wasn't, and so didn't turn on the living room heater, a first for the week.

Evening. I really shouldn't put writing these off until the next morning so often, but the fuzzy head doesn't encourage writing. Hence the mindless time spent lying on the bed watching marginal stuff on a tablet I'm guessing. I'd seen tonight's episode of Vera before. More than once before was my thought. Didn't want to watch it again even though I only recognized the beginning, had no idea how it turned out, who'd done what to whom and the like. Lights out after nine and to sleep one hopes soon after.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
