Here In Oakland

Art & Life

Days

Wednesday. Nothing I wanted to listen to on the BBC News that starts at nine during the week and so lights out at nine-thirty to awaken once at midnight, before awakening wide-eyed for good at ten minutes to six. Not a bad time, not a bad night. Up and out the door on an overcast, but warmer morning, to arrive just before seven, the restaurant open and people bustling about inside.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, going through the papers in what I thought was some detail, although I finished by a quarter to nine. Still overcast, although the sun started breaking through later after ten, they're saying sun tomorrow and through the weekend. A couple of extra pictures while walking, remembering this time to take a selfie in the lobby as I was waiting on the elevator to arrive.

Not sure what the day will bring, although I did finally post the HereInOakland web section yesterday and so we'll finish the ArtAndLife section today, maybe take a look at those old May Day photographs I've had sitting untouched but close to finished for way too long. Progress. Maybe.

You want a gold star now for starting the laundry?

I'd be satisfied with a pat on the head.

Later. Laundry done except for the socks and we'll get to them soon enough. Sunny outside, maybe a walk to the construction site for a photograph just to say I've gotten outside. A bit tired, not sure why.

The No Wall section has been posted to ArtAndLife, after futzing with the recently updated Illustrator and Photoshop programs, both of which made changes in how I've been putting headings together in the past and now no longer work. Figured it out, but a pain in the ass.

Evening. Ran another glucose test when the tired feeling visited earlier, ninety-one, no problem, so the tiredness is related to something else. Which is good. Very good. Watched a couple of things on the tablet for as long as they held my interest, but not very long. Lights out at nine-thirty after listening to the BBC News on NPR, my usual routine, figuring earlier is better than later these days.

Monday's No Wall demonstration at Lake Merritt taken with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
