Friday. The usual to sleep not long after ten to awaken after four, doze off and awaken at six routine, getting up to take the blood pressure and find it good, to then get back into bed and listen to the rest of Democracy Now! until seven when I got up and drove to breakfast, parking by the 7-11 store. Crossed the street and entered the indoor dining area to turn on the lights, settle in at my table and start on the papers.
The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to walk back to the car and drive to the bank, which opens at nine, to get a cashier's check to pay the second half of the mover's fee when they finish up in Lake Oswego on Thursday. I probably won't have arrived by Thursday and so mailed the check on the way home at the post office to my sister so she'll have it to make the required payment when the movers are done.
Home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure again (it was even better) and settle down here at the computer to finish and post yesterday's entry, process the morning's pictures and start writing this by eleven.
Later. Drove to the storage locker in Alameda and went through what I had inside, happily finding two cartons of underground comix and old Seagull magazines and such. There was another storage locker renter going through his locker nearby and we got to talking to find he ran a table and one of the sellers fairs and, rather than just leave what I had inside, I gave him what he felt he might be able to sell, not thinking to ask for payment although he did give me fifty dollars, what he had in his wallet. So that's done. I spent many times what the contents of that locker were worth over the years, although some of the old magazines and comix are rare and fairly valuable.
Home after three to go through the comix and magazines, post a couple of their images on Facebook and then to the bed to watch more Season 5 episodes of Endeavour on the tablet. Find I like this younger Inspector Morse much better than the old cranky version. Maybe it's because the younger Morse likes to listen to some of my favorite operas by the likes of Puccini and Verdi, where the old one has drifted on to operas by composers I find much less interesting.
Evening. Quite tired after moving all the boxes around and so watched more of Endeavour now into Season 6 on the tablet, lights out at ten this time, running somewhat later than I'd have liked.
