Else

Sunday. Last night was pretty much a duplicate of the night before: to bed early, lights out well after nine, counting the hours it seemed throughout the night, but this time awakening at six to get up and set out for breakfast. No running late this morning, although I ended up having to wait in the car for ten minutes before the waitresses to arrive. Still, a good start to the day, no complaints.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries with coffee for breakfast over the Sunday papers, taking maybe half an hour longer to go through them than I usually do during the week. Obviously I only read stories that I've been following or that spark my interest and skip most everything else. Whole Sunday sections are skipped.

Sunny on the drive home and so looking forward to a decent day. Yesterday's entry was a mess and I went through the usual two minutes or so of angst before just pushing the button and posting.

I'd been thinking again of stopping this and trying something else. I have friends, some of whom are older than I, who write both regularly and coherently and it would be interesting to see if that's something that still in the cards for me. Not daily, of course, but these were the thoughts this morning and while driving home. If nothing else an indication the mood is good and the sinuses are behaving, even though I've expressed these thoughts a thousand times in the past without a single move to put them into effect.

Later. A bath and then, tired, a lie down on the bed for an hour that became an hour and a half finishing up a movie on the tablet. The sinuses aren't hurting all that much, but head feels as if it had a head cold, no ambition to do much than sit around and do little or nothing. This does get old.

Watched the last ten minutes of the Purdue-Indiana game, Purdue pulling ahead and winning at the end, but a good game with both teams trading the lead back and forth until Purdue finally locked it in. Haven't followed basketball at all, but a good game is a good game, with or without a head cold.

Sunny out there with the temperature getting at sixty-six degrees by two, but no thought to go out. Well, thoughts, but no action. Still think about losing a camera, even in my immediate neighborhood.

Evening. Skipped the two Elementary episodes (that I've seen before), watched a couple of things on the tablet. One or two programs playing on KQED that might have held my interest, but skipped out on them as well. So here we be too early in another evening to be turning out the lights and heading for bed.

You really do need to stop this nonsense and try something else.

Last week at the Oakland Women's March taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR II lens.
