Guessing

Thursday. To sleep before ten, but awakening well before six again to do the usual take my time getting up, check for rain (it wasn't), feel another earthquake jolt and then set out to walk to breakfast. It had been raining hard last night with lots of wind, but the sidewalks seemed dry. What the hell, maybe it will rain on the way home, but best to walk was the thought and so I did.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast after yesterday's adventure. I'm sure we'll relapse by tomorrow. Read the papers and finished up by nine, heading out the door to wait on the bus as it was raining quite hard. The bus stops in front of the restaurant and my stop is just down the hill from my apartment and so I figured I wouldn't get all that wet. And I didn't as the rain had died down by the time the bus had arrived.

Stuff going on in the area, but with the rain I suspect we'll stay here and finish those RedForEd pictures for the web. How long since I've put together enough photographs from an event and posted a web section? I don't want to check.

Later. A touch of sun now that it's eleven. Still overcast with more rain on the way, but not at the moment. Feel pretty good, no unpleasant signs of yesterday's adventure in evidence, just cross the fingers and keep on truckin’, in this case to the ATM on Broadway. One cannot pass up a touch of sun.

The new bus schedule allows plenty of time to go to the ATM, shoot some pictures if I wanted and then catch a bus home without waiting for all that long at the Webster stop and so over to the construction sites to take the usual three pictures plus one and then wait for five minutes for the bus to arrive.

There's was an art opening on 25th Street at noon and I'd been thinking of attending, the theme “selfies” and I debated going by for the five minutes I stood there waiting on that bus. Home now, we'll go at some other time when it isn't raining or thinking about raining and for the now just sit here to watch television instead.

Evening. Found this and that to watch on television before heading to bed after eight, lights out before ten. Two deliveries today I wasn't expecting did arrive, another delivery (the glucose strips) I was expecting didn't. It will now arrive tomorrow, I'm guessing.

The photograph was taken at the #RedForEd Teachers Strike demonstration at the Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
