Tuesday. Asleep not long after ten to awaken at a quarter to six. Not too bad and so took my time getting up and getting ready to set out for breakfast on an overcast morning, the streets and sidewalks wet from last night's rain, although they're saying no rain today. Mostly. Not overly cold, arriving at the restaurant before seven, but finding it open with two or three customers drinking coffee inside.
The plain waffle (no butter or syrup) with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Exactly at the target weight on the scale this morning, but thinking about this “tired all the time” business and so had something I've always assumed is at least halfway safe to eat for breakfast.
Finished up with the papers not long before nine and so walked back to the apartment taking the usual pictures, still overcast, but warmer than it was earlier on the way in. Noticed for the first time the mural that's been hanging on the wall at the back of the parking lot at Euclid and Grand was gone. When had that happened? I assume I'd have noticed right away as in today, but you never know. Haven't taken a picture with it in it for years so it may take time to search an old one out. Another selfie entering the apartment lobby.
Stumbled across the fact I'd missed the Oakland Lunar New Year Bazarre that was held last weekend. We'll go through the old calendars and add heads up for events as we've done in the past, see if we can preclude having it happen again. Not that I was in any condition to photograph it on Saturday or Sunday, you understand.
Later. Odd. None of the “tiredness” of these last several days. Took a larger dose of the pain meds for the sinus-upper palate business this morning and had the waffle and fruit for breakfast and they may have been a factor, but I wonder. Still, no complaints, whatever rain we had last night isn't around today anymore and so out the door to take a picture of the construction site just up the way from my apartment to find they have indeed been making progress.
Picture in hand, returned to the apartment to exchange the camera with another, placing it in the backpack, thinking I'd take the bus downtown or perhaps, since I've not been there in a while, Jack London Square. Waiting at the bus stop, the bus due in minutes, I realized I wasn't feeling all that sharp and so crossed to the lake to walk to the pergola and sit on a bench for a while. And that was it. Didn't take the camera out of the backpack, although I looked for birds along the shore, none suggesting I needed to take their picture.
Back home to lie down with the tablet and continue watching another Chinese series until the PBS Newshour started at three. Feel better now that I'm inside, no real vision issues, making me think it's the abrupt change in temperature and outside light that brings on the disorientation, something that seems to get better the longer I stay out.
Evening. Watched an hour long German police thing at six. I'm not really sure who was after whom. No trouble following the subtitles, but don't really have a clue as to what exactly was going on. Enough confusing television for an evening, we'll head to bed and the tablet.
