Art & Life

January 4, 2020

That

Saturday. Awoke at a quarter to six again to get up, take the blood pressure (123/70) and decide to take the med with the others again, we'll see how it's behaving later this morning. It had obviously been raining last night, but really couldn't make out if it would continue on the way or back from breakfast and so said the hell with it and drove instead of walking. A mist on the windshield both going to and coming back, good enough for an excuse, but either way I wanted to drive. Arrived to find the restaurant dark, but for a light back in the kitchen, and so entered through the unlocked dining area door, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers.

The single pork chop, eggs over medium, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, 146.7 pounds on the scale when I got up. That's as low as it's been since, well, I was what? Ten? Don't really want to see it go lower. Finished up by eight-thirty, not sure why it went by so fast, but back to the car to drive straight home and take the selfie in the lobby, fumbling with the camera before I got the picture centered. We are not doing well with these photographs. Some of it can be blamed on the camera, but only some, most of it rests on my head.

Need to get in some walking later, be interesting to see if I do. The sun seems to be coming out and the weather people are saying no rain later, but again, we'll see.

Later. As tired as I've ever been straight through the afternoon, the blood pressure normal. Other than the blood pressure, not good.

Evening. Watched the Patriots/Titans game on television, still tired, the game over before eight when I went straight to bed, lights out, radio off just like that.

The photograph was taken at the 2009 Oakland Children's Christmas Parade with a Nikon D3s mounted with an 70 - 200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR II lens.
