Behind

Friday To bed early and to sleep soon enough thereafter to awaken at five forty-five and listen to Democracy Now! starting at six before getting up and driving to the Lakeshore ATM and then on over to the morning restaurant to park on almost empty streets. Entered the dining area that had the lights on this time and settled in with the papers. New Year's Day. Looks, except for the lack of parked cars and traffic, like many another day.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee, less than a pound over the one-fifty target on the scale this morning, finishing up after nine to snap the usual pictures. Drove straight home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to post yesterday's entry before starting here. For another year?

Later. Finished watching a series on the tablet that I finally realized I'd most probably watched sometime in the past, season two of a three season series with six episodes per season. Realized when starting the series I recognized some of the characters and some small snippets of the plot, but little or nothing else. The memory really is degenerating, but at least slowly enough we're not going to be worried about dementia for some time yet.

Is it really out of hand?

No more than what you hear and read about with normal memory loss, but it gets your attention when you're experiencing it.

Otherwise watched/listened to some of the news and that's been the afternoon.

Evening. I've been following the blood pressure in testing this new (fresh, not beyond their expiration date) blood pressure med these last few days and I suspect they are indeed more potent than the old ones and so we're back to half a tablet in the mornings.

The testing is ongoing, we'll know for sure in another week, but I wondered if low blood pressure caused an odd no energy fuzzy headed period this evening that led me to crash and burn around eight. One hopes that 2021 doesn't turn out to be more problematic than this miserable year we've left behind.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Pistahan Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
