Sleep

Monday. To sleep a little later than usual, but awakening then somewhat later at six-fifteen and so what I'm guessing was a good night's sleep. Up to take the blood pressure, find it reasonable and so back to bed to listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up at seven to drive to the restaurant, papers in tow this time. Parked in front to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up before nine to set out for the car, drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure (still not too bad) and settle in at the computer to go through the usual routine, starting this not long after ten.

Later. An hour's nap around one to awaken and hear loud music coming up from the lake and so a walk down to the white column pergola to find a flat bed truck set up with microphones and speakers with people giving talks and exhortations in celebration of this Martin Luther King holiday, the flat bed truck having a long line of cars behind it blocking the right hand lane, many carrying signs.

I took the camera out of the backpack and managed but one uninteresting and uninformative picture as they had started up and were moving off around the lake, seeing and hearing them stop on Lakeshore on the other side to give more speeches. At least it got me outside and I got off at least one shot with one of the large DSLR cameras.

Evening. Nothing on television and so spent the evening watching this and that on the tablet, lights out then after nine.

You're writing this the next morning and don't really remember what you did last night.

They do all run together. Took the blood pressure to find it higher than I'd have liked, found a couple of movies on Prime that started well and the was it. When did I get to sleep? Have no idea, but at least it wasn't later than I'd have liked, no reason to think I wouldn't be getting a decent night's sleep.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with an 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
