Sleep

Monday. To sleep pretty much right away, after last night's taking forever to drop off, to awaken at six twenty-five, take the blood pressure and find it good, then listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up at seven to walk to breakfast under clear skies, arriving to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing by nine to set out for home under a bright sun, feeling good and setting a decent pace while taking the usual string of pictures along the way. Arrived home, took the selfie in the lobby, took the blood pressure to find it higher, but not high enough to take the blood pressure med and settled in at the computer. Finished yesterday's entry, posted it, processed the morning's pictures and then gave up, lying down to see if I couldn't get in a nap.

OK, couldn't get to sleep and so up to take the blood pressure again to find it ten points across the board lower. Something of a surprise.

Later. Took a bath, lied down to see if there was something I wanted to watch on the tablet without success, up to take the blood pressure again and still find it lower than usual for this time of day. Hmm.

Talked with the moving company to clarify the steps required in getting the move underway, put off talking with the landlord to go over his payment until tomorrow, took the blood pressure again and again found it low. Lower than it's been at this point without taking the blood pressure med in months. Finally at five, with another reading, up enough to take the med. More than interested to see what it looks like later in the early evening when it's usually at its highest.

Evening. OK, blood pressure still up in the early evening and so a second dose of the blood pressure med at seven-thirty. Nothing on television or the radio of interest and so lights out by nine-thirty, ready for another decent night's sleep. Please.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
