Bed

Monday. To sleep at a decent time to awaken briefly once or twice, but then awaken with the alarm at six-fifteen. All in all, not a bad night. Up to head out the door on an overcast morning, the temperature not so bad and the eyes and nose mostly behaving. I felt as if I were dragging ass when I arrived. A bit, anyway, and it was nice to sit right down, the restaurant open, and start on the papers.

Nothing I really wanted to eat and so ordered the chicken-apple sausage, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, maybe best to have avoided the chicken-apple sausage. Well, what the hell? It all went down reasonably well and so finished reading by eight forty-five and set out for home, the sky still overcast, the outside air rather nice. The walk went well, passing by the construction site where they'd removed the ivy, still not sure how that's going to turn out. Arrived at the building lobby feeling a bit light headed and rushed the selfie (as I often do) before heading upstairs to crash for fifteen minutes before starting on this.

Still, all in all, the lungs seem less congested and the head feels half way reasonable after a little rest. A new month, a few things necessary to do to start the day, we'll finish with this and get them done. Eventually. But maybe after noon.

Later. OK, things go well as long as I'm here inside. Grabbed a camera after getting some beginning of month paperwork out of the way and after taking a nap, thinking I'd take a picture of whatever those images were I'd passed earlier this morning over by the lake and then take a better picture of the construction going on above the sidewalk below my apartment and maybe pickup a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch.

And so out the door to the lake to find an artist working on the panels, taking three pictures, wondering if they were a part of the Free Sudan protest I'd photographed yesterday nearby. Then to the construction underway above the sidewalk, taking pictures from what angles I could find.

Did I want to then go just up the way to get that sandwich? The head said yes, but the body was feeling dizzy and out of gas and so that sent me right back to the apartment to crash. Better, but not? Better, yes, but it's taking longer than I'd like. Why this lack of stamina?

Evening. Watched another episode of the Norwegian Mammon – Wolf at six and the follow on Mammon – Shadow Gods at seven. More bullets flying, people dying, me not quite understanding what was going since last week's two episodes where half the cast to include a Prime Minister were happily shot to pieces. These two were enough and so to bed.

The photo up top was taken of the Dykes on Bikes contingent at the 2018 San Francisco Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
