Thinking?
Saturday. Arrived home yesterday dead tired at ten in the morning from Portland and so crashed early (I seem to recall) with the fan on low at the foot of the bed and awoke at six, feeling better. I think. At least how I usually feel awakening to get ready to head out to breakfast.
The sky overcast, the temperature relatively cool walking to breakfast (I'd awakened to turn that far off in the middle of the night), although they're saying a high temperature of eighty-one later this afternoon. Arrived before seven, although I'm not sure exactly when as my watch battery failed yesterday morning at ten after ten. Been a while since I'd replaced one. Anyway, the restaurant dark, but the dining area door open and so entered, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers, back in the routine.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Didn't gain any weight over this last week, but that's what appealed. No appetite, although the meal went down easily and with interest. Not sure how that works, but it works.
The gas prices had increased by four cents a gallon and so a picture to document the fact before heading home, a picture of the old bakery now “soon to be” the Melomelo Kava Bar (I need to look whatever that is up), two of the usual flower photographs and a shot of the trash strewn along the sidewalk wall below the Lakeview school.
Scooters in place for the weekend, the first selfie in over a week and now home, feeling reasonably whole. I'd crashed pretty hard after the weekend trip to Bainbridge Island and after returning home yesterday, so any worries about that holding over today are settled. The Art & Soul Festival is running in downtown Oakland today and tomorrow and I'm thinking I won't attend, but I need to go by the bank ATM and the store where I have the watch battery replaced that sits across from the Art & Soul entrance, so I'll bring a camera in the backpack (as I always bring a camera in the backpack) and so maybe I'll decide to go.
This is running on a bit.
There's more to come. We still have plenty of backup babble.
Later. My, my. Clear headed as can be after yesterday's fog and so out the door and caught a bus to the Broadway ATM, walking then on to the jewelry repair shop for the watch battery, only to find it closed on the weekends. OK, a walk back up Broadway to Grand and then the bus home to turn the golf tournament on again and work on pictures taken at the family reunion on Bainbridge Island. (Hard to follow the shots when you're working at the computer.)
Evening. Still clear headed throughout the day working on pictures. More to do tomorrow.
Nothing I wanted to watch on television and so to bed with the tablet, ending up watching some crap until after ten. After ten. What was I thinking?
