Midnight

Friday. To sleep after ten to awaken then at six-fifteen after a decent night's sleep. Out the door to walk to breakfast at the usual time, feeling good, arriving and settling in with the papers at the back of the closed off dining area at the usual time. I'd passed by the spot where the abandoned car with the punched out passenger side front window had been parked, but found it gone, towed away. It's been sitting there for a while.

The ground beef patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee because I haven't had the ground beef in a while, finishing up after nine to walk back home under still overcast skies. The weather people are saying it will clear up later, but not quite reach a seventy degree high, so it will remain cooler for the while. A decent walk, the energy good.

A picture of a woman who seemed to be leading a line of geese across the street along the lake, the selfie in the lobby and then up to finish yesterday's entry before posting when symptoms of an ocular migraine began to arrive and so right to bed. Light symptoms, but I slept for an hour before getting back up to finish processing this morning's pictures and starting here. It's now after two, the sun is out, the sky is clear on this first day of a Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Later. Watched the first few episodes of Hanna on the tablet, the second season of an odd, but interesting enough Netflix series and that's pretty much been the afternoon. No deep thinking, no outside excursions, just, you know, lying on the bed with the tablet on my chest and leaving off writing this until tomorrow.

Evening. Watched Inspector Morse at eight (he said with a sigh). Same old Morse. To bed by ten to listen to fireworks in the not far distance continue on until well after midnight.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
