Watched

Sunday. Got to sleep this morning after one, awakening then at five minutes to seven at least an hour later than usual, and so maybe we got enough sleep after all the fireworks last night. Up to drive to breakfast under clear skies, arriving at the usual time to park the car and enter the restaurant, turning on the lights in the closed off dining area and settling in with the papers.

Lots of stories as usual on the coronavirus. Probably better to skip reading too many of them lest they become overly depressing: why old folks succumb so much more easily than do the youngsters being one.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up by twenty minutes after nine to head to the car and drive straight home, take the selfie, settle in with the journal and post yesterday's entry before starting here.

Later. Watched the final round of the golf tournament, taking a break in the middle of it to walk halfway down the hill to see what was happening over at the lake, decided I'd seen enough and returned to the apartment without snapping a picture to settle in with the tournament again.

Evening. So far not a single fireworks explosion nearby although later there were some sporadic sounds in the distance. Nothing to keep you awake in other words. Nice. It's been a long last couple of weeks of sleepless nights.

Watched the rest of the second season of Hanna on the tablet. I remember watching the first season and finding it interesting enough, but in this second season it all just fell apart. Ads for it have been popping up on my Facebook account and the reader's comments under them have pretty much been split: half saying they liked it, half saying it didn't make any sense. I'm with the didn't make sense.

Yet you watched.

Yet I watched.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
