Game

Friday. I seem to recall lights out at ten and then awakening at a quarter to six. The quarter to six is a clear memory, the when I turned the lights out last night is a bit foggy and mixed together with all the lights out in the past. Not as bad as that sounds, but heading in that direction.

A clear skies bright sunny morning heading out to breakfast earlier than I should, but literally arriving at the restaurant front door just as the waitress turned the corner to open it herself. So good. Luck is with us. Was with us.

Had the avocado and (light on the) cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, going through the papers in some detail and so not setting out for home until close to nine. Skipped even looking at the pandorea vine, but stopped at the pet store again for a picture. Again, sunny skies and fairly warm for this early in the morning, a good, perhaps even overly warm day ahead.

Later. Watched another DCI Banks episode on the the tablet before setting out to catch a bus downtown to the City Center to get a salad for lunch at the Fountain Café, eating it out at a table at around two in the afternoon. Thought about getting a box of Good & Plenty, but talked myself out of it, deciding to walk to the ATM up Broadway and then catch a bus home at the usual stop on Grand. Took a picture of the building under construction at 17th on the way.

News programs after I got home and then to lie down again to watch more crap on the tablet. At least I got some walking in was the thought. Well, thinking. Didn't skip a beat or sweat a drop over it, but watched whatever I wanted for a good hour and a half.

These things happen.

Evening. Remembered the Warriors were playing and so brought the score up on the screen, six minutes left to play in the first quarter. The Warriors ahead but not by very much. Five points. Then three. Essentially tied. We'll check it when we remember as they play.

Checked again. The Cavaliers are ahead by one point with six fifty-nine left in the second quarter.

Halftime. Warriors up by nine.

Ninety-nine Warriors, seventy-three Cavaliers, eight forty-nine left to play in the game. Sounds like the Warriors turned in one of their third quarter routes. Not hard to guess who's going to win this game.

Saturday at the Oakland Sex Workers Protest taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
