Games

Thursday. Lights out by nine-thirty, awakening at a quarter to six. We seem to be getting the hang of this thing. Up to set out for breakfast under an overcast sky, the temperature in the high fifties with a high later today (they're saying) of seventy. Sensible weather, in other words. Arrived to find the restaurant open and people inside.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by a quarter to nine and walking home under what was still an overcast sky, taking the same pictures I've been taking on this walk home since forever. But not a word more, we've heard this before.

The selfie in the lobby, up to go over yesterday's entry (A number of grammatical errors: who was proofing this thing?) before posting to then get ready to head out for an ATM, the sun now shining as it approaches eleven.

Later. A bus to the Broadway ATM, the return bus passing on the opposite side of the street as I was entering the bank running early by ten minutes. OK, a walk then to the construction sites on Webster and 23rd, taking the usual series of pictures staring with 2330 Webster, then 2302 Valdez and finishing with the back side of 2330 Webster across from 2302 Valdez.

No one has a clue where these things are from that description unless they've been there a number of times.

Or they live there.

A walk along Grand to run into a return bus at Harrison and so on the bus and back to the apartment. Not enough to consider it a decent walk, but the day's tasks are done.

The U.S. Open was broadcast on television starting at 4:30 and so watched on and off with some interest through the rest of the afternoon. They've broadcast these tournaments starting on Saturdays in the past, this is a first for broadcasting from the beginning.

Evening. Brought up the ongoing commentary and score of the Warriors game that started after six on the computer and followed along until the very end, the Warriors of course losing at the very end. Hadn't realized there were so many basketball player injuries in the sport, but then when have I followed other than noting the outcomes of the games?

The photo up top was taken one year ago at the 2018 Oakland Sex Workers Protest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
