Thinking

Thursday. Another lights out by nine-thirty, awaken at fifteen minutes to six morning, getting my act together slowly, but out the door on time at twenty minutes to six and walking to breakfast on another overcast, but relatively warm day, the restaurant setting up and open when I arrived.

Ordered the French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast to go through the papers in some detail and so not finishing up until just before nine, not noticing the gas prices had changed again as I was setting out, the day still overcast, the temperature just fine. The Canada goose population is growing during this moulting season and the population has popped, otherwise a not unusual morning here in Oakland.

Not a bad start. Futzed with yesterday's entry, nothing new in that, writing the last half before posting as usual. Nothing on the schedule, but I think I'll use the gas price change to at least get in a walk today later to see what's up with the price.

Later. A walk to the gas station to take another look (and picture) of the sign which worked like a charm in getting me out the door where other inducements more often than not tend to fail. Dumb, but true.

Back to process more Alcatraz pictures, watch some television and listen to the mid-afternoon news programs.

Evening. OK, a fall over and faint if we don't get to bed and go to sleep episode around eight and so right to bed to turn out the lights by nine. This is a bit extreme was the thinking.

The photo up top was taken Monday on Alcatraz island with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
