Routine

Wednesday. To sleep at the usual time after ten to awaken at six this time, up to walk to breakfast on a clear, going to be quite warm day, arriving at the usual time to settle into the darkened dining area, turn on the lights and start on the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up well after nine to set out for home under the bright, but not yet too warm sun, taking my time taking pictures of the usual suspects, making the usual calculations as to how far to ease off on the exposures. Flowers tend to be frustratingly bright under an overhead sun.

A Revel scooter waiting at the 580 Overpass light, another photograph of the scooters by the lake and then on to take the selfie in the lobby before checking progress on the car battery that started charging yesterday at noon. Looks like it may finish today by noon. Up to futz and then post yesterday's entry and then to start on this, processing the pictures taking up most of the time.

Later. The car battery was fully charged by noon and so we're set for another month or two.

Still get some of the runny nose issues with changes in temperature, but nothing like it was over these last few years. Probably no more often than most people experience. I hope. Still quite happy to have it (mostly) gone.

Listened to an interview with one of the pandemic medical experts on the radio and he underlined this coronavirus pandemic wouldn't be over until sixty percent of the population has immunity either through having caught and survived COVID-19 or being protected by a vaccine. This has been stated by all the various experts since the pandemic started, so I'm assuming it's true, given the history of other pandemics the logic seems sound. Which means this shelter in place business is going to go on for a very long time.

Evening. Watched Midsomer Murders at eight all the way through without bailing, getting to bed before ten and lights out not long after in what now seems to be our usual routine.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
