Amuse

Wednesday. To sleep not long after ten to awaken then just before six to take the blood pressure (109/67), skip taking the blood pressure med and listening to Democracy Now! at six before setting out to breakfast, deciding at the last minute to drive (for no good reason), to arrive at seven-thirty and settle in at my indoor table with the papers. Two other diners did show up and sit back in the dining room and two more settled out on the patio before I'd left, although the sun was bright, the temperature warm (and getting warmer).

The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee (for no good reason), finishing up right at nine to walk to the car and drive straight home, again under a bright and warm sun. I'd worn a light jacket over a long sleeved shirt, realizing I could have just worn a t-shirt and still would have been warm.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure at nine-fifteen (121/63) and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry before posting, starting on the morning's minuscule number of pictures before beginning here.

They're saying well into the eighties later and I believe them sitting here in a t-shirt and wondering if I wouldn't be more comfortable turning on the fan.

Later. Eighty-four degrees at two this afternoon sitting in front of the fan listening to DW News in the background. Clearly best I hadn't taken the blood pressure med this morning as the blood pressure has remained low ranging from 98/58 at noon (which freaked me out) and then running up and down to 104/52 at four as this is being written. Ah, well. Spent the time lying down, listening to the news, checking the web and lying down with emphasis on the lying down the tiredness consistent with the blood pressure numbers.

Evening. Feel less tired, although the blood pressure was 109/56 just now, similar to the earlier readings when I was dragging. Still, not usual to feel better in the evenings and so maybe the blood pressure has less to do with this tiredness bit.

Nothing on television, nothing I'm willing to continue to watch on the tablet and it's only seven right now, too early to flake out. I did take a couple of pictures of the white feathered pigeon earlier, neither one of them particularly good, but they do continue to amuse.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Street Festival with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
