Wednesday To sleep around ten to awaken ten minutes before six, getting up early and setting out driving to breakfast in the rain as I wanted to be sure I'd finish up and arrive home before nine-fifteen when I'd agreed to meet the Protime guy for the blood draw. Parked again over by the 7-11 across from the restaurant to avoid paying for parking.

Entered the dining room now arranged to seat customers, this the first day restaurants are now allowed to seat diners inside, and settled in at my no longer hidden table at the back. I'd debated whether it would be best to sit out on the patio and avoid staying inside with other (unmasked) diners, sitting at a distance or not, but it was cold, dark and raining outside.

There were no other diners for the first half hour and, when one finally arrived, I decided to pack up and set out for the car. I'll start sitting out on the patio tomorrow and wait until two weeks after I've had both vaccination shots before I start experimenting with breathing unmasked with others in enclosed spaces.

Finished up at eight-thirty, taking the papers with me to finish them later at home, arriving at the apartment to take the selfie in the lobby and then settling in at the computer well in advance of the nine-fifteen appointment.

The Protime guy arrived at nine-thirty, pricked my finger, fed it into his machine, said the reading was 2.6 (good), put a bandaid on the finger and left. So much for having worried about getting back from breakfast at nine-fifteen.

Later. Got a call from the cardiologist's office to say all was well with the 2.6 reading, we'll do it again in four weeks. I'll start having it drawn at the lab this time as I'll be fully vaccinated by then.

Otherwise another day watching this and that on the tablet. Still not sure how well I like this Amazon Fire tablet as I've not been able to figure out how I'd been able to adjust the screen brightness on the thing when I first used it. There's probably a manual online and I'll eventually get it together to take a look.

My, my.

Evening. Out of gas not long after eight, put aside the tablet, listened to the radio for maybe twenty minutes, lights out with my own lights (one hopes) soon to follow.
