Some Danish?
Friday. To bed after Elementary at eleven, last night, the evening cooler than it was yesterday evening and so no need for a fan, up without a problem with the alarm at six. I'd taken one of the old (cut it in half and save the second half for tomorrow) blood pressure pills last night, as the reading was up to 130 over 80, and found it to be under 120 over 80 this morning. Good. We'll keep watching.
Drove to breakfast - the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, a fruit cup and coffee - took a couple of pictures of the pandorea flowers as I was leaving and now we're home on what seems to be a more sensibly temperatured morning. Good. We'll go over to the construction site and take pictures, the head clear and feeling good. Maybe we'll go by the lake, do something productive.
I did put up a section of #FastFoodGlobal photographs on both HereInOakland and artandlife last night. They're OK, but again, I should have realized, prepared for it or not when I ran across it, this should have been treated as a serious session and I should have stayed longer and pushed harder. You learn. And then you learn again.
Later. A walk by the construction site (snap, snap!), a bus downtown to the City Center to have a bagel with cream cheese and coffee out at a table in front of the shop, the day quite nice at eleven o'clock.
A walk along Telegraph this time, taking a route I haven't been over in a while, taking the obligatory pictures. A bus then, more construction site pictures on the way and then home to take a nap. Well, to lie down for an hour without sleep. The blood pressure remains good, although the Protime I remembered to take this morning was worse than the bad reading I'd gotten last week.
The nurse called late in the afternoon to go over the results. Had I made any radical changes in my diet? Started taking steroids? Given up on grains? No. None of that. But (thinking of the blood pressure that started going weird after we substituted a generic in place of the brand name drug) I had renewed the warfarin (blood thinner) prescription about the time all this started to go south. Oh, she said. Oh indeed.
Tomorrow I talk with the pharmacy to see if they changed the generic warfarin in any way and today I'll put fresh batteries in the little blood testing device. Just in case. Oh, and she'll phone in an order for a smaller dosage of the drug with instructions on how to straighten this out. I often think I wouldn't mind more diversity in my life but I'm not sure this off the wall, coming in from outer space stuff is precisely what I meant.
Evening. There are things to watch on television tonight. Surprising. Well, Friday not, why not? I thought of attending the one o'clock showing of Godzilla this afternoon over at the Grand Lake theater, but couldn't talk myself into it. The reviews have been all over the block. So New Tricks at seven and, what? Midsomer Murders at eight? And nine? There's a Danish thing called The Eagle, also at nine, a series I've probably seen before and not liked, but who knows? A little guitar along with some Danish? Might.
