To Bed

Thursday. Lights out again by ten to awaken then at five forty-five to get up and get it together to walk to breakfast, the eyes watering a little, but the temperature not all that cold. Arrived at ten to seven to find the restaurant open and so ordered the Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, getting the rather doughy biscuit this time and not the more usual English muffin. Like both, prefer the biscuit.

Went through the papers in more detail than usual and so set out a little later for home, taking the usual set of pictures on the way, the sun bright, the mystery woman showing up again on her run. So a good walk home to edit and post yesterday's entry before lying right down for an hour, dozing off this time. Given the body's druthers, I suspect it would like to sleep longer in the mornings, but it too is governed by habit. I understand being governed by habit.

Later. A good afternoon. Didn't do anything other than listen to/watch the news and futz around on the web. Tried talking myself into getting an ice cream bar, but that wasn't enough to get me outside, so no walking. Still again, feel good, the head clear, the sinus-upper palate behaving on a nice sunny day here in Oakland.

Evening. Stayed up long enough to watch the first thirty minutes of the second episode of Happy Valley, had the same problem in figuring out the dialogue (maybe get a sound bar for the television set?), gave up and went to bed.
