Ten

Thursday. Lights out before ten to awaken at a quarter to six, similar to most of our nights these days. Seems to work, although I'm often feeling inexplicably tired when I return home from breakfast.

Off to walk to the restaurant, the telephone pole on the corner at the bottom of my hill, clear of trash yesterday, now with another bunch of discarded stuff at its base, the turnover again quite remarkable. The sky overcast, the temperature cool without being cold, a light touch of water droplets on the face for a short period when setting out. Arrived at the restaurant just after it had been opened, turned on the still dark dining area lights and settled in with the papers.

The avocado and cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. I'd ordered the omelet with avocado, but it came with cheese as well. We'll remember to emphasize avocado only in the future. Finished up by eight-thirty and so straight home, the sky still overcast, but no water droplets in evidence, taking the usual pictures to include the selfie in the lobby when I got home.

OK, Thursday, one more day left in May, we'll see how this day goes, but after lying down for a while.

Later. We had a high of seventy-six yesterday, looks like the mid-sixties today, but then again up into the seventies for the week ahead. Sixty-one right now during the noon hour.

Evening. And so the afternoon has slipped by into another evening with nothing on television other than an episode of Vera I've seen before and so to bed to learn the Warriors had lost their first game in Toronto (too bad, the world will not end, but still....) before turning out the lights again by ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
