Late

Friday. Another lights out by ten to awaken again at ten minutes to six, this seemingly what the body wants and so up to walk to breakfast on another overcast, but not overly cold, morning. No sign of rain, arriving at the restaurant to find it open. I didn't receive the Chronicle this morning, though. Because the paper delivery man ran short? The papers come banded together, in this case only the New York Times was in a plastic bag, so I'm assuming he knew the Chronicle was missing. Ah, well. If he has to short somebody, better to short the guy who has two others to read? I guess. Mumble.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the weight almost two pounds under target on the scale this morning. Which is good, but I'm guessing we don't want to have it go much lower. An odd thing, given my history, to say.

Finished up by eight-forty and walked back home, still under an overcast sky, although they're saying it will get up into the low seventies later. The usual set of pictures to include (of course) the selfie in the lobby, another week and now month over, another weekend and new month ahead.

Later. It indeed reached seventy degrees and so walked over to the lake without any destination in mind, taking all of three or four pictures. “Snapshots”, really. Can't say there was any thought involved, just shots I've taken in the past. Ah, well. Bright sun, the sinus-upper palate acting up as it often seems to do when I go outside. At least to start. And that, after maybe half an hour, was it for experiencing the great outdoors.

Evening. Watched the German Tatort: Borowski – Borowski And The Burning Man episode at seven, finishing by eight-thirty. Had to let it start to be reminded what I thought about this one from past episodes. Some of these are real turkeys (IMHO), but this one is/was alright. To bed to listen to the news at nine, listening on, for some reason, until ten. A little late.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
