To Me

Monday. To sleep certainly before eleven to awaken at six-fifteen and listen to Noam Chomsky being interviewed on Democracy Now! for the hour, up at seven-thirty to drive to breakfast an another sunny and even warmer morning, the weather people saying into the low eighties today and slightly warmer tomorrow. Makes you think about the coming fire season. Arrived to enter the closed off dining area and turn on the lights before settling in with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee simply because I was hungry and the weight was behaving on the scale this morning, to finish up by nine-thirty, head to the car and drive straight home under an even brighter sun. The selfie in the lobby and then up to the computer to futz a bit with yesterday's entry before posting and starting here. It's seventy-four degrees right now at ten-thirty and they're saying eighty-two by noon. My, my.

Later. A walk over to the lake with a camera in the backpack wearing just a t-shirt, but stopped above the lake on the sidewalk, lots of people about, the temperature in the low eighties and having trouble breathing through the mask. You work a little harder breathing through the 3M N95 mask was the excuse I used to return to the apartment. As I'd done yesterday. Zero for two.

Placed another order with Safeway through Instacart with a two hour window for delivery and it arrived in one hour and forty minutes. Twice now for Instacart. So far, so good. Need to go over some of the prices, though, compare them to what they'd have been buying them at the store.

Evening. The fan turned on low at the foot of the bed at nine-thirty with the bedroom windows wide open behind the curtains, lights out and radio off just after ten. Hadn't found anything to watch on television, wasn't up for checking out Father Brown and the stuff on the tablet had pretty much run out of steam. Hmm. Maybe this shelter-in-place is finally getting to me.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
