Lights

Sunday. To sleep soon enough, no awakenings to gunfire during the night, but awakening early again not long after five to then lie half asleep until close to six. Up to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then over the hill to the restaurant, park, enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the Sunday papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, still watching the weight. A piece on the news reported that people on average have gained close to thirty pounds over this last pandemic year. Close to thirty pounds? And I'm freaked over one or two? Stressed out kids seem to have led the charge.

Finished up by nine again, walked to the car, the restaurant patio and indoor dining area completely filled with customers by the time I was leaving. Drove straight home, took the selfie in the lobby and settled in here at the computer. Now what to do on this Mother's Day Sunday, here in Oakland?

Later. Watched a couple of hours of the three hour long last round of the Wells Fargo PGA Golf Championship, lied down a couple of times attempting a nap without success, listened to the news and that's been the afternoon. Lots of music and the sounds of people whooping it up down at the lake without budging me out of the apartment, but that's been the case now forever.

Evening. Ended up watching The Equalizer at eight. I usually don't last more than fifteen minutes with this one, but for some reason I kept at it through the end. To bed then well before nine to listen to the six minute nine o'clock news before turning out the lights.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
