Tuesday. To sleep not long after ten to awaken then at a quarter after six, definitely enough sleep after the night before. So good. Up to walk to breakfast under another bright sun, the weather people saying a high of seventy-one later in my area of Oakland. Arrived to find the crew just starting to set up the patio and so settle in at my inside the dining area table to start on the papers.

Finished up around nine to set out for home, no other diners choosing to sit inside, only one or two out on the patio as I was leaving. Not unusual for the beginning of a week, the take out orders predominating. The usual flower pictures along the way, the attitude reasonably good for an at times crotchety old dude.

Is that how you think of yourself? A crotchety old dude?

Actually not. After noting how inappropriately it shows in others, I head it off at the pass when I see stirrings inside. They don't come very often, so just a phrase I use now and again, no applicability yet in reality.

On along Grand by the lake to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer after a trip to the bathroom that hadn't been demanding I get there in a hurry. This laxative (MiraLAX) the doctor prescribed seems to be working, let's hope it continues to do what she described.

Later. Watched the news at noon and then lied down on the bed, falling into something close to sleep for an hour. Finished the afternoon on the tablet and watching the three hours of television news that starts at two.

Evening. Nothing on television, although I took a look at the NCIS episode that started at eight. I didn't last more than ten minutes before heading for bed, turning off the radio and the lights by ten. Again. Let's hope we can duplicate last night's success.
