After

Wednesday. To sleep not long after nine to awaken twice during the night to get up and take a leak, awakening then for good one minute before the alarm was due to sound at six-thirty and so, all in all, a good night's rest. I'd guess.

Up to drive to breakfast under cool and overcast skies, deciding at the last minute I'd rather drive, arriving to park by the 7-11 across from the restaurant and enter the indoor dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the paper as they started moving the tables and chairs out onto the patio. Not altogether inviting, the patio, under dark skies.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight behaving on the scale this morning, finishing up by nine to set out for the car, drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby and settle down here at the computer.

Later. A phone call from the colonoscopy people going over what's needed for next week's session. The prep work includes drinking a gallon of something called Trilyte, half of it during the day before, when you're not allowed to consume anything but clear liquids, and the second half before six in the morning on the day of the procedure. I'm now even less looking forward to it.

Otherwise hooked the car battery up to the charger, I've been driving more often and haven't done it in a while, and spent the rest of the afternoon on the tablet. The sun came out in the later morning, but that of course didn't draw me outside.

Evening. Watched Midsomer Murders that started at eight, one I hadn't seen before. To bed then to listen to the six minute ten o'clock news, more out of habit than anything else, lights out after.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
