Lights
Thursday. To sleep again not all that long after ten to awaken briefly (again) at five-fifteen, blink and awaken for good at ten minutes to six as I've been doing now for a while. Up to drive to breakfast under a bright sun to park by the 7-11 store and walk across the street to the restaurant, enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up again around nine thinking do I want to use their bathroom again or can I make it home in time? Decided, set out for the car and drove straight home, took the selfie and got to the bathroom in time before sitting down at the computer and starting here. Feeling a bit tired, as I'm writing this, feels a bit as I did yesterday.
Later. OK, this “tiredness” business seems to have evaporated as we got into the afternoon. Didn't do anything different other than watching whatever on the computer rather than the tablet, half listening to the various news programs play on the living room television set. (Do we still call them television “sets”? Doesn't sound right somehow.) And that's been the afternoon.
Evening. Watched Vera at eight. I remembered the beginning, recalled the woman killed was killed in error, they were after another woman in the house, remembered a scene or two thereafter, but not the end until the very end. Interesting advantage in that it gives you the ability to watch things over and over after a reasonably short period of time unless it indicates a much larger memory issue is developing. Not sure it does, but this isolation doesn't lend itself to asking others. To bed before ten to listen to the six minute NPR news before turning out the lights.
