Nine-Thirty

Thursday. Lights out around nine-thirty, but to sleep later than I'd have liked, awakening just before six to turn on the radio and the Impeachment Hearing while I prepared to walk to breakfast. Felt pretty good. A bit groggy, yes, but I guessing that's the norm when you're waking up.

The sky clear, the temperature quite reasonable, passing a parking meter with its top removed and sitting at its base. Something a little different and so a picture. Arrived to find the restaurant open and people inside.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for no particular reason, finishing up around eight-forty as I'd done yesterday. I'd looked at the gas prices coming in and couldn't remember what they'd been yesterday, as they've been declining over these last few days, and so crossed Grand to document the price, learning later it hadn't changed. Another memory glitch. They come along more often than I'd like.

A walk home to take another picture of the seed pods (or whatever they are) while waiting at the crossing light, of a bicyclist at the 580 Overpass light and of the few remaining scooters by the lake. There'd been something like of dozen of the Lyft scooters, no sign yet of Limes, when I'd passed by walking in. A selfie in the lobby and then up to look at yesterday's short and meaningless entry before posting. The Impeachment Hearing, turned it on when I got in. Did he do it? Of course. Where will it go from here? No idea, but we'll eventually find out.

A haircut coming up at eleven-thirty. Might take a bus afterward, if one comes along, to get the Protime blood thinner test, maybe put it off until later this afternoon it one doesn't, may put it off until tomorrow as I now remember I have an Amazon order due for delivery later today.

Later. The Amazon packages arrived during the forty-five minutes I was out getting the haircut. Still, the packages were sitting in the lobby when I got home, so no damage done. Now I'm sitting here listening to the Impeachment Hearing, still thinking of getting the Protime test out of the way instead of putting it off until tomorrow. Six of one, half a dozen of another, I may go either way.

Later still. The usual “don't want to go” conversation going on for too long, but it finally ended in catching a bus to the Broadway ATM and then a bus to the lab to have the blood drawn, returning by bus to Grand and ending up walking home, having missed the Grand bus by two or three minutes. Still, a well over a mile from Broadway to the apartment and so managed to get in an afternoon walk.

Evening. Took a look at the Vera episode at eight, realized that I'd seen it before, but didn't remember what had happened or who'd been involved. Not sure I'd liked it when I'd started it in the past and so bailed and went to bed to listen to the radio until the BBC News came on at nine, turned lights and radio off at nine-thirty.

The photograph was taken at the November 2018 Portland Wild Arts Festival with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24 - 120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
