Quick
Wednesday To sleep at the usual time not long after ten to awaken at six-thirty to find, in listening to Democracy Now! and the local news that followed, that Biden had a good chance to win when all the votes were counted, his total having a good shot of being 270 electoral votes exactly, the total he needs to win. Weird. Off to walk to breakfast on a clear and cool morning, arriving around the usual time to settle in at my table, the election news in the papers not recent enough to be worth reading except for the local election results.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up by nine to set out for home under a bright sun, thinking maybe I should use the restaurant bathroom before leaving, but heading out anyway, fingers crossed. Contented to take the usual series of pictures, the bright sun requiring using a different series of camera settings to get the photographs to turn out right. Close to right.
Please. How long have you been using a camera?
The mood obviously good, on to take the selfie in the lobby and then head up to the apartment and start on this with the occasional glance at the N.Y. Times election coverage on the web. A comment just now that maybe Pennsylvania will go to Biden and dump its twenty delegates onto Biden's 290 total. One hopes. This is too close for any semblance of comfort until the election bell tolls.
Later. More progress on the vote count. Trump still has an avenue to win, but it still looks good for Biden. Final results from the sound of it tomorrow. Otherwise, listened to the news and watched a Swedish series on the tablet.
Evening. Watched Midsomer Murders at eight, one I'd seen before, although I had no idea who'd done it until it was revealed at the end. What the hell, it kept my attention. To bed before ten, no reason to think I wouldn't get to sleep pretty quick.
