Off

Tuesday To sleep at the usual time after ten to awaken then for good at just before six in time to half listen to the KPFA five minute news followed by Democracy Now! while I was still but half awake. Walked to breakfast under clear skies, the temperature cold but bearable again, to arrive at the usual time and settle in at my table with the papers.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up at a quarter after nine to walk home under a now bright sun, the number of flowers available along the way getting smaller and less healthy looking.

A bicycle rider stopped at the light and so a picture. They're much reduced in number with the pandemic. Another shot of the entrance to the building they've been refurbishing now seemingly forever along Grand, another of two signs posted on a restaurant and then on to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to get yesterday's entry posted and start here. The usual routine. Feel pretty good, though, we'll skip expressing any thoughts about getting anything done in the coming afternoon.

Later. A little over an hour's nap just after noon to awaken and watch the two o'clock television news, giving up and heading back to bed and the tablet in the middle of the PBS Newshour around three-thirty. And that was the afternoon. Sounds similar somehow.

Evening. Half watched television until nine feeling tired and so to bed after nine to turn out the lights early without even a passing worry I might not doze right off.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens..
