Bat

Saturday A pretty good night's rest I'd guess. To sleep not long after ten to awaken then at twenty minutes after six and listen to the news before getting up and setting out walking to breakfast. The weather people had been saying it was going to be colder than usual this morning and so added a scarf to the cold weather ensemble, essentially throwing everything I had in the closet at it. It was indeed cold, but maybe not unusually so, as I walked happily enough to my table at the restaurant and started on the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up after nine to walk home under a bright sun. Still brisk, but then not overly warm either as I took another inferior series of pictures of the ever fewer flowers now available to photograph.

The pigeons were interesting, but I should have stood at the corner longer and waited for a better composition. No complaints, just walking along home on a Saturday morning.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby before heading upstairs and the computer to go through the usual routine. Had more to do than usual to finish yesterday's entry before posting and so didn't start writing this until it was close to noon.

Later. A good start, no interest or need, for example, to lie down for a nap. Actually did some vacuuming in the bedroom, but not enough to get too excited about.

But that turned out to be it. Watched some football, watched some news, watched some stuff on the tablet. What more might be wanted?

Evening. Nothing on television, no PBS Saturday night movie for some reason, not that I've found any recently I've been willing to watch. And so to bed early to turn out the lights before ten to see if we couldn't get to sleep right off the bat.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens..
