Breakfast
Monday To sleep pretty much right away again, given how these things go (and what I remember of them the morning after) to awaken at a quarter to six in time to listen (half listen) to the five minute KPFA news and then Democracy Now! before getting up to walk to breakfast on a decidedly cold clear morning (the weather site said it was thirty-four degrees at seven), planning on walking around to the Lakeshore ATM on the way home when I'd finished. Settled in at my table, the first to arrive, and started on the papers.
The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up around nine to then walk down the usual stretch of sidewalk to the Grand Lake theater and cross Grand to walk on to Lakeshore and the ATM. No big deal, adds maybe a quarter mile or so to the walk home, but I dread the idea of doing it right up until the time I actually do it without breaking a sweat, not that there's any danger of breaking a sweat in this weather.
Skipped the selfie and headed up to finish yesterday's entry, post it and start on this, all the while talking myself out of driving over to the dealer's shop to get the car fixed.
Later. I get to this point around noon and stop writing. Don't want to look at it. I pretty much stop everything else, of course, other than lying down on the bed with the tablet and/or listening to the news, what news there be I haven't heard/read too many times before starting with the morning papers. So that's been this afternoon, another afternoon pretty much like all the others.
Evening. More time with the tablet. Nothing on television and so pretty much stayed in bed draining the battery on the tablet. Lights out by ten. A call earlier from Walnut Creek that hadn't left a message and I'm thinking it was the person who comes by to take the Protime blood thinner test to give me a head's up as to when he or she was planning to arrive tomorrow. Let's hope it isn't early when I'm not yet home from breakfast.
