Or So
Friday. Tired throughout the day yesterday, much more than usual, and so to bed by nine, lights out not long after, my lights out just after ten to awaken at six, take the blood pressure (good), listen to Democracy Now! and get up and drive to the Lakeshore ATM to find it open. Also good. Over the hill to park by the 7-11 store and pass by the gas station on my way to the restaurant, gas prices having fallen six cents a gallon for regular overnight. It had been raised by those six cents only two days ago. Anyway, into the restaurant to turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.
The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to walk back to the car and drive home, taking the usual selfie in the lobby and noting later how wasted I looked when I downloaded the picture. Wasn't feeling wasted, felt fairly clear headed, but good grief, those eyes. Took the blood pressure to find it fine, settled in at the computer to briefly edit and post yesterday's entry, downloaded and processed the morning's pictures before starting here.
Later. Another round of tiredness arrived and so an hour's nap just after noon. Not as bad as yesterday, but the tiredness included an ocular migraine-like mind wandering episode that added to the episode. Why does it come on in the late mornings and tend to get better in the late afternoons and evenings? Clear headed at breakfast. Something in the food?
A long bath while listening to the news play on television in the living room and some time on the tablet trying one or two new series to see if they were worth watching. Haven't decided yet. Such is life in the afternoons.
Evening. Watched Poirot at eight. Well, most of it more because I haven't watched one in some time and figured what the hell, I wasn't ready to retire, most of the earlier tiredness now gone. To bed before nine, lights out by nine-thirty, don't remember glancing at the clock after about ten-thirty or so.
